Nick Cassidy capped off his time with Jaguar in stunning fashion by securing back-to-back wins at the Formula E season finale in London. Starting from pole, he maintained the lead throughout and claimed his third victory in the last four races. Porsche celebrated a dominant end to their season, easily sealing both the teams’ and manufacturers’ championships after their main rival, reigning world champion Oliver Rowland, crashed out. McLaren’s weekend ended on a low, with both cars retiring from the race.
The race kicked off chaotically, living up to Formula E’s unpredictable nature. Cassidy led cleanly off the line, while Edoardo Mortara was forced to retire immediately due to a mechanical issue. Early action saw Dan Ticktum, who had originally taken pole before a penalty, pit after a puncture. Meanwhile, a collision between Nissan’s Norman Nato and McLaren’s Taylor Barnard added to the drama, impacting both teams’ title hopes—especially Nissan’s, who supply McLaren with powertrains.
Tensions escalated further when Nyck de Vries was shown a warning for aggressive defending, which led to contact that damaged Oliver Rowland’s front wing. Things got worse for Rowland, who ran wide defending against Nico Müller and ended up crashing out, taking Müller with him. This incident dashed any remaining title dreams for Nissan and cleared the path for Porsche’s triumph.
The second half of the race saw Cassidy in full control after a safety car period. Despite pressure from Mitch Evans and Nyck de Vries, Cassidy extended his lead significantly. Evans, though finishing second on track, was penalized five seconds for speeding under yellow flags, dropping him to fifth. De Vries and veteran Sebastien Buemi completed the final podium spots, ending the season on a high note.
Other noteworthy performances included Jake Dennis finishing fourth and David Beckmann scoring his first point of the season in tenth. The top ten was rounded out by Antonio Felix da Costa, Maximilian Günther, Pascal Wehrlein, and Lucas di Grassi. The London E-Prix concluded a dramatic Formula E season filled with competitive twists, team shifts, and a powerful final statement from both Cassidy and Porsche.
