In his words, they are working in tandem, each bringing their own points of focus to internal team meetings. Leclerc clarified that these discussions are collaborative and that the entire team is united in their development direction, leaving no room for tension or division.
Hamilton’s move to provide technical feedback to Ferrari ahead of his 2026 debut made headlines, but Leclerc emphasized that this is part of a normal and shared process. He explained that both drivers contribute by identifying areas that need improvement, which are then discussed collectively with engineers. According to Leclerc, such efforts are routine and essential to pushing Ferrari forward.
Leclerc further stated that Hamilton’s approach is not out of the ordinary compared to what he has experienced since joining Ferrari in 2019. While Hamilton brings fresh insight from his years of success with Mercedes, the core process of collaboration remains unchanged.
