In an electrifying 10-lap Brno Sprint, six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez secured a remarkable win under unpredictable conditions. Starting behind his teammate Francesco Bagnaia, Marquez quickly overtook him at Turn 3 to take the lead. Meanwhile, Pedro Acosta made an impressive climb from seventh on the grid to fourth by the end of Lap 1, setting the stage for a dramatic race.
Early misfortunes struck Alex Marquez, who dropped to P20 due to heavy wheelspin, and Yamaha’s Augusto Fernandez, who collided with Honda’s Takaaki Nakagami on Lap 2, ending both their races. Acosta, maintaining strong form, moved past Fabio Quartararo to reach a podium position, with Enea Bastianini soon joining the fray, pushing Quartararo further back in the order.
As the race progressed, Marc Marquez built a commanding lead, but then drama hit both Ducati bikes. Bagnaia and Marquez slowed due to suspected tyre pressure issues, allowing Acosta to briefly take the lead. Though they recovered pace, Bagnaia continued to drop positions, eventually being overtaken by Marco Bezzecchi and later by Raul Fernandez.
The final laps were intense, with Bezzecchi climbing to fourth and Marquez eager to reclaim the top spot. In a decisive move at Turn 9, Marquez passed Acosta to retake the lead and held it to the finish line, marking his 11th Sprint win of the season. Acosta finished second—his first sprint podium since Aragon 2024—while Bastianini completed the podium lineup in third.
Despite a post-race investigation into Marquez’s tyre pressure, officials found no rule violations, confirming his victory. Other finishers included Quartararo in fifth, followed by Bezzecchi, Fernandez, and stand-in rider Pol Espargaro. Reigning champion Jorge Martin ended in 11th, while Alex Marquez finished outside the points in 17th, capping off a dramatic and unpredictable Sprint race at Brno.
